On Christmas day, my 6 yr old son became the proud owner of a Henry Micro-bolt 22 rifle.  He has shot his brothers rifles and my 22 pistol before, but this one is all his own.  

Due to the weather and work, we were not able to shoot it until this afternoon.  I set up a target at about 30 yards and he hit it every time... Really made his dad proud.  He always wears ear protection, and he had to remind me today to get his shooting glasses out of the storage building before we started.  

The only thing I am having to get used to is he is left handed.  I guess in a few years I will be picking up a left handed Stag upper for him....

I got SBK a Davy Crickett at age 4, mainly b/c a good pellet gun cost more than a good 22 single shot.  CB caps kept him busy for a couple of years.

Now he's swinging a CAR and a 1911 at age 10..

He now wants a Ma Deuce..

I am a lefty and shoot right handed guns all the time.  You get used to it.  The wierd part is having the empties fly across you face but thats why the built in that little wart on the side of your upper.
