What would you like to see from the firearms manufacturers if you were in control?  For me...

Kahr:  PM45 GAP pistol.  A 45 cal that I wouldn't mind wearing.

FN:  FS3000, similar to the FS2000 but in 308.  A modern MBR with a 20" barrel but an OAL short enough to be used in CQB situations in a pinch.  It'll take FAL mags.

They mostly already make it, it just needs more testing and more people to make ammo for it -

6.8 SPC gas operated AR upper that can use regular AR mags.

I'd like a 2 in 1 pistol with-

1) A frame that would allow me to put on either a short slide for CCW, or a regular size slide for range shooting/hunting.
2) A grip to be short enough for CCW, but have a solid snap on addition to let me use longer mags.

This would make one gun two- sort of a G-26 that could be converted to a G-17.

a SHRIKE!!!1

oh, nevermind

not a new gun, but i'd love to see more rimfire rifles come with high capacity magazines.  i've never understood why manufacturers refuse to go over 10 rounds.  you're pretty much limited to a 10/22 or .22 ar upper.

if i'm not mistaken, walther put ot some "high capacity" 12 round mags for the p22  it may not be much more, but i wouldn't mind a couple for my G22.

on a side note, i've seen people weld .22 mags togther to make 20 round mags.  according to them, it works, but it sure does look awful from the couple pictures i've seen at rimfirecentral...

I'd like to see a pistol desined specifically for home defense. Instead of a combat/LE pistol that you can use for home defense. It would need a built in flashlight, instead of just rails, integral night sights, and would have to be magna ported to reduce recoil for quick follow up shots.

Also, I'd like to see one made so it is as simple to operate as a Glock but with better safety features. Basically a pistol that the average non-gun nut can have in the house and still be safe.

Oh yeah, and I'd like to see our new XM-8's chambered in 6.8 instead of 5.56. And with the weapons sight controls mounted on the handguards so you don't have to move your hand or head to change from red dot to magnified sights.

1) Winchester re-issues the M1Carbine, Garand and semi auto M14  ( forged receivers, not cast)

2) Ruger Mini-308, Mini .243 in GB profile with bayo lug and accuracy problems resolved

3)An INEXPENSIVE polymer-stainless steel inserts .22 RF upper for the AR15

4) Reliable 15 or 20 round mags for the Ruger .44 mag Deerfield carbine

5) An inexpensive after market 10/22 receiver to build up all my cast off barrels and stocks

6)A compact Glock carbine that takes pistol mags

7)Mass produced .22 RF hand cranked gatling gun, fed by dumping boxes of bulk rounds in a           hopper
