I've had several different Belgian lambics before. They're not bad but "best dessert known to man"? No, not even close. +awholebunch for PIE.

At the risk of being flamed and dragged over the coals:
The best dessert (of the kind you put on a plate) is.. Creme Brulee' A perfect counterpoint of sweet delicious vanilla custard topped with a bitter / sweet crunch burnt sugar crust. Perfect as it comes. Screw the guys who make it with some kind of abomination like pumkin, or fruit, or the worst crime against desserts, chocolate creme brulee'. WTF? Who wants burnt chocolate? Next would come a genuine flan. Same thing, perfect vanilla custard, bitter sweet caramel sauce. Even real vanilla custard is a thing of rare and singular flavor....
