Our camps were similar, not the same. During WWII, people of Japanese lineage were rounded up and sent to internment camps for the duration of the Pacific campaign. The major difference is that we havent committed genocide since the relocation of Native Americans because of "Manifest Destiny". Our government promoted a lot of attrociase things, but it was never official, written policy.

You know, it's funny. The Native Americans were killing each other before the rest of "us" showed up. Tribes in Africa were warring and enslaving the defeated before "we" showed up. Clans in Scotland and Ireland were warring and killing each other before the Brits showed up. So I guess the "real criminals" are the ones that show up with better technology, a will to win and have their way. Genocide? Please. Savagery is savagery, but to the victor goes the Blame. |

The German citizens knew that Jews were being rounded up, and they knew that they were being sent somewhere. They knew enough about what went on in concentration camps to keep them in line. Did they know about the gas chambers and the ovens? Probably not, but they knew that the Jews and other dissidents were going somewhere and if you start asking too many questions or start being disloyal you'd wind up there too!

He was having a political discussion with a few people myself included, he has already left he wasnt saying America was evil he was saying we had death camps and that the Gov is hiding the fact from the civilians he is a tin foil hat kinda guy...
I am talking about now not during WWII
Thats what Im asking do you think we could have a death camp and the fact be not known to the general public. |
