2.01-2.06-2.11, I own a gas station in Birmingham , AL . this is about average for the area. I learned a formula, it is accurate for the B'ham metro area. The price of a bbl of oil that you see in the financial pages of your news paper, is for delivery in 30 days, so the formula will tell you what prices should be 30 days from now. Divide the cost of a bbl of oil by 28, and this will tell you the future price, ie..oil $56 a bbl, divided by 28, equals $2 at the pump, as you know wholesalers will raise their prices within 2-3 days of oil going up, and decrease gradually 30 days after the oil prices drop. This is not exact to the penny, but very close, and is only valid in the B'ham metro area. obviously your area will vary due to state and local taxes. If you pay attention to oil prices, you can find your local formula, this will let you know if the station you shop at is charging a fair price, or squeezing a few extra cents out of you. Also, I make 4 cents per gallon, this is a pretty normal "comission" for a station, with a corp. supplier who sets the prices. Thanks for reading, Treeman
