Cleveland Police officers and RSPCA officials were called to a house on the Blue Hall estate in Stockton-on-Tees on Monday afternoon. The body of the one-year-old female cat was found in the house. The animal and a microwave oven were taken from the house for examination and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them. |

Either kides who are copycats (sorry for the unintended pun), or just a "story." The "cat in a microwave" was an urban legend years ago. One version was that a woman gave her cat a bath (interesting premise in itself) and wanted to dry off poor Fluffy. Just a quick shot in the microwave, of course. Awwwwwwww.

Sad. What a hellish way to die. Even if was "only a dumb animal". What could that cat have done to deserve such a fate .I hope whoever is responsible is caught and punished to the fullest extent of the law.

I think Germany was trying to develop one in the 40's. A buddy of mine put his sister's cat in the microwave, set the timer and started fiddling with the buttons and complained to her that it wouldn't start. Just as she was about to hit the Start button, she heard a "meow". She called him a fucking asshole and took the cat out.
