I don't know what else to tell the guy... He could be in big trouble already (is he?), so it seems like he should "lawyer up."

The USGI autosear is not that big of a deal... Without the holes in the lower, and without the rear shelf clearence to install it, it will NEVER work. Even the most talented ATF tech official would have trouble making a gun run full auto using it.
Even the drop-in unit would still need the rest of the full auto parts to make it work...
If it has no serial numbers on it, then I'd say just toss it in the trash... End of problem.
It's not illegal for a C3 Mfg to own it though.
