I've got a Miller TIG welder, and have used it for aluminum and steel.

Any idea if copper can be TIG welded? I know that it conducts heat better than nearly anything. Would it suck the heat from the weld zone and end up heating the entire piece?

Thanks....

You may be thinking about brazing.

You cannot weld disimilar metals together.

Actually you can with specialized welding equipment. Ferrari welds aluminum bodies to steel frames and ship builders weld aluminum superstructures to steel hulls.
