I've got about two hours to get all my stuff loaded up.  Gonna take the entire family out (wife and 3 boys) take the grill out and make a day of it.

So who else is going out today?

Im having Christmas lunch @ my grandmother's house, so I plan on taking my M16 and a suppressed P22.  Shooting in the back yard sounds Much more exciting than listening to family drivel.  Have a Merry Shooting Day.

Weather is high thin clouds and supposed to be close to 70 today.  Hope I don't get a sunburn.

As much as I miss living in Wisconsin, all you in the cold climates eat your heart out.

I am thinking about it.  Thinking about hunting as well but my heart isn't into it.  30mph winds right now and blowing snow.  The GF is off visiting family.  I might just sit around and watch movies and play Xbox

I went out this morning with my muzzleloader and shot three times just to check zero.

It is 32 out there and it was snowing earlier. The range had about an inch of snow covering it but there were 6 other guys out there shooting muzzleloaders. Tomorrow is the 1st day of our muzzleloading season.

Too much snow.

Too warm.

Means ankle deep mud.

Plus my Dodge Intrepid isn't a good "off-road" vehicle.

This just sucks, 'cause I've got all week off and would love to get some shooting and hiking in.

It's a little chilly out at 31 but still good shooting weather.

I put together an AR for a co-worker and we took it out to try.  I also had to test out my new dpms .308 ap4 upper.

No daycare today!

Not a big deal, my son got a new radio flyer wagon that I assembled and have been crashing him into a pile of laundry. Good times! Heck I am having a blast with him today!

I took my 15 y.o. girl Saturday and she went through almost of a brick of 22lr out of my custom 10/22, about 35 cast bullet .243s out a Rem 700, and about 10 rounds through the AR, said it kicked too much.  She asked if we could go again today but I had several errands to do before a late Christmas dinner at my folks this afternoon.  She announced yesterday that she wants her own 10/22 with a stainless barrel and a hot pink stock for her birthday in March.  She's never shown much interest in shooting before but all of a sudden is nuts over it.  I also let her drive to and from the range about 15 miles away.  Life is good.

Just got home.  Shot my new AR pistol, couple of my AR rifles, my M1 Garand, did some skeet shooting and topped it off with my 9mm and .40 S&W.

Now I have to clean ALL those guns (but I don't mind at all, I could have been at work).

Grandpa was being a little lazy on his day off, but I had three Soldiers down
at my range today, practicing their craft.

My son, and his best friend and his wife, Soldiers all, were filling my ears with
the sound of freedom as I sat here.

ETA: after they "trained" with thier ARs, they went to shooting clays for fun

....and found a P22 w/ silencer just laying on a stump? You are one lucky man.

I did go out shooting (the .45-70 guide gun I got for Christmas) on the day in question. I can honestly say I have not had so much fun shooting in quite a while (it better be fun at $1 a round...). This is the only gun I own that honesty sounds like a thunderclap when fired (the distinctly strong reverberating echo is awesome). I love this gun
