...or a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, or were indicted in any jurisdiction, or subject to a protective order, would you give up your guns?

Just a hypothetical question.

I don't think you have a whole lot of choice in the matter. If you were in fact to keep your guns, and then by some means get caught with one, you'd be way FERKED. I addition to another charge, I would believe that it would negate any suspended sentence, or violate any parole.

you don't have to be convicted on the PO thing, if your a subject of a PO you cannot posess firearms until that order has been lifted.

Years ago, I was given a Ruger 10/22 from a guy I knew who had just been convicted of DUI.

Didn't miss the point at all, all that has to happen is for your wife or SO to get pissed at you and convince the courts to issue a PO!

You don't need to even see the police to get a PO on you.  All she has to do is bitch to a judge, and you gotta hand em in.

AFAIK, a DUI is not a felony.

No, I don't "have anything in the works".

I was just wondering. My record and conduct are both 100% spotless. I was just wondering, that's all.

Guns are evil, I’m just a member of ARFCOM to see what the evil gun owners are doing I destroyed all of the ones registered to me for the children!
No felonies, misnomers, or domestic violence charges, but who knows I piss off a girlfriend and she hurts her hand slapping me. She goes to ER and I’m up on charges for getting slapped. It’s that easy.

I was one of those punk kids they ran through the original Scared Straight program out of Rahway, NJ.

Being threatened by anal rape and groped by bubbas and brothers did make me reconsider some life decisions I had made.

I became a college professor instead of heading down the path I was going.
