I'm looking for someone who couldn't afford to buy toys for their kids or can't pay their bills or something. Even somebody who has nobody in their life and nothing under the tree. A fucked up sad story for Christmas.

I don't care if it's you or somebody else.....help me find the most deserving person of some holiday cheer.

I got a little Christmas hook up for somebody.

Prefer it to be someone that nobody is doing anything for. I know muddawgin is having a rough one, but he's also got quite a few people planning to help him out.

I know most here are way too proud, and that's understandable, but I'll make it well worth your while. If you're too embarrassed to post it up send me an IM even.

Disclaimer:
If nobody has a sad enough, fucked up enough story to earn a little Christmas joy I'll give somebody a membership instead. If you got nobody with a sad story feel free to vote for the member most deserving of a bronze membership.

I was kind of thinking that too. But he seems so surly most of the time that I don't ever know if his life is really that bad or if it's just his outlook. Is something specifically bad happening with him right now or are you just talking about his mood generally?

Just his mood, generally...hope he is having a merry Christmas, actually

it's probably not as bad as you want, but I'm going through a real rough break up with my ex-gf of 2 years.  I feel really bad right now

Sorry to hear that. Christmas is a fine day for a hangover. The doctor suggests a nice Christmas eve bender for your emotional healing.

Whiskey: funner than crying....or makes crying funner....or....whatever. Go drink some whiskey.

Hatebreed, loved the stuff you got for me let me know if you got anything else coming up. But with your question in mind I'll tell you a story.

The restaurant I work at closes down right after Thanksgiving and doesn't re-open until the 23rd of December.  This happens every year.  Last year I worked as a busboy in the buffet (I work in a casino) for pennies in tips but the paychecks were decent.  This year my buddy got promoted to supervisor at the brew pub inside the casino so I went to work day shift on his crew.  Well, the tips sucked bad and I didn't have any money left after taxes to collect a paycheck.  That went on for two weeks.  I was at the store getting quarters for my laundry today when I realized I hadn't bought a single gift for anyone and it was my sons first christmas.  So I bought him his first sipping cup and some new clothes and I felt like I was going to have a merry christmas.

For me holidays just mean working, because someone has to be there to take your money.  My story really isn't a pity party, I didn't buy my g/f anything and since she relies on me for 95% of her money she didn't get me anything.  I have to visit two sets of parents before shift tomorrow and I don't have any gifts, but It doesn't bother me(it might bother them, ).  I'm working back in the restaurant I like again and I look forward to a whole new year of money, work and watching my kid grow up.  Life is great.

Nobody knows of any soldiers overseas that have it especially rough, nobody all alone on Christmas, nobody is poverty type broke or anything?

Surely Jojo isn't the saddest story around....

Nobody can even nominate somebody deserving of a team membership?

I got a little extra Christmas "joy" to spare....but I need a compelling story at least.

I guess we just have a ton of fortunate people here.

If nobody here can come up with a sadder story than Jojo I guess he'll be getting the Christmas surprise.

I have a hard tme believing nobody here has it worse than Jojo but if I'm not seeing anything else by 5 hours from this posting Jojo gets it.

i would suggest going by your local shelter and finding a family to help out, asking people fortunate enough to own computers, internet access and expensive ar-15's is probably not the best way to do it.

not knockin ya, congrats on the christmas spirit.

Let's see...In November my wife took my dog and most of all the household stuff and moved to IL to meet some guy she met on the internet. She stopped paying all the utility bills around July, they were all in my name.So I am stuck with $5K in bills,on a working mans hourly wage.

Woke up this morning and wandered around looking for something to do.I ended up cleaning my weapons while watching TV and surfing ARFCOM.

I ate dinner last night by myself.

I ate dinner tonight by myself.

My only link to the outside world is the computer.

Depressing enough for you ?

I'm not looking for anything, just another reason to tell the world about my fucked up life/wife.

Not alot in the way of homeless people or shelters around here, and the people that are fucked up are mostly meth heads.

I am not really looking to do a "charity" type thing anyway. I actually want to give something to a PERSON...not an organization. So if one of you had kids who got shorted or something, post it up or shoot me an IM.

I agree that looking in a place where people are fortunate enough to have computers and internet service might not exactly be the right demographic, but you never know. Three months ago my mom was too poor and unemployed to make the next months mortgage. She still had the internet though.

So you never know.

A story like AZ-K9 posted would be great, but I need one that doesn't already have a happy ending.

Got any other family? Did anybody get you anything for Christmas?

I wasn't such a softy in April of 2001. But I actually had the misfits song "Hatebreeders" in mind when I picked the handle, but it just somehow came out as hatebreed. Unfortunately, people often assume I chose the name after the band HATEBREED....who I don't really like.

As long as it took me to work up 1500 posts I'm not changing it now.

I guess I'll just throw $100 towards the muddawgin relocation and lawyer fund when he gets paypal running. Seems to be about the roughest story around this christmas. And it helps his kids, so I'm all for that.

thats a very good gesture.  i just bought $150 in restaurant gift certificates and gave them to local soldiers stuck here in town for the holidays so they can at least have a good meal while they are here.
