Last weekend I was in PA visiting my daughter, s-i-l, and my grandbabies.  We had our Christmas gift exchange.

At one point, I was struggling to open a package, and my 6 year old grandprincess offered to get me a pair of scissors.  "That's OK, Nena," says Grandma, as I whip out my knife from my purse and cut the ribbon.

Her eyes got HUGE.  "Grandma," she asked, "do you always carry that knife with you in case people give you presents that you can't open?"

Sounds like a good reason to me...

Merry Christmas!

I keep all the women in my family supplied with knives, stun guns and pepper spray (not to mention firearms). A person could get hurt messing with any of them.

It warms my heart when they all pull out a folder at Xmas time.

I'm pretty sure that is the reason I'm invited to all the grandkids birthday partys...

"paw paw I need help."

That damn hard plastic stuff they use these days makes it hard on a kid.
