This was my grandmother's answer to everything but I don't see it for sale anymore. Smelly, petroleum based tar looking stuff, smells like a freshly paved road. Used on cuts, ingrown hairs, removing splinters (It would somehow "pull" a splinter out over a few days time).

I looked around on the web but apparently it is only used by veterinarians these days, mainly to remove splinters and nails from horse hooves. I still have an old tube that expired in 1992, used it recently to bring an ingrown hair to the surface so I have been trying to find some that was made this century. Anybody know if it was taken off the human market for a reason ?

You should be able to get it at a drug store.
