Just wondering how many of us are running around with problems. After talking to some shooters at the range, Waitresses,MY wifes friends, etc etc i was suprised to find out how many people are just letting things go.

I have:
1. Arthritis in my neck. Hurts to turn my neck to the left.
2. Herniated disc in my neck. Makes my left arm and hand  numb and tingly.
3. Three Spinal Fusions to fix a complete lack of disc material in my L5 region.
4. Severe internal scarring and nerve damage from a staph infection in my left leg. Causes random  pain, numbness and tingles.
5. My left ankle is pretty much shot. I lack bone material between the leg bone and beginning of my ankle. The tibia is spearing into the talus for you medical types.

Thats it for me.....Who's got me beat???

I'm in great shape.......except for Congestive Heart Failure.

While my condition has improved, from a transplant was my only option, to a greatly improved heart pump. I went from a 20 to 24 EF to a 55 EF (last year) I will be checking it again this year and hope to improve it up to a 60 EF.

I am in the process of regaining my great shape, and I'm not far from it.

I can EASILY walk 3 miles in 35 mins. I can ride my stationary bike 7.5 miles in a 40 min ride.

This is much better that my previous bests with an unknowingly failing heart.

I have a pretty bad rash that has been haunting me for a year.  I've seen five AF doctors about it and all they'll do is prescribe a "steroid creme".  To me that's about the equivelent of dispensing 800mg Motrin.

On my legs it starts as a BB sized blister, then eventually pops and bleeds a little.
On my side it just looks like a big dime sized depressed purple blotch.

Anyone want to see pictures?  I could start a "Name that rash" thread.  Maybe I could throw in a prize or something.

You really should post this on some medical forum or something, I can't find the one i used to frequent for a health problem I had, but there were/are good doctors on them that can dispense some great advice and diagnose issues.

If you are having no luck with AF doctors, try some medical forums. You really shouldn't let something like that go for a year, that could be some serious shit, at least it sounds like it.

I appreciate that advice.  Somehow I hadn't thought of posting on a medical forum.  If you think of a good one can you IM it to me.  In the meantime I'll search for one.

I've been disgnosed with lazy-ass-itis, which only flares-up every other the weekend or so. I also have a mild case of smart-ass-itis that usually causes problems after ingestion of some dietary beverages made of barley and malt.

Seriously, I've been very blessed in life, I've been nothing but healthy. (Thank You GOD!!!)

I have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease , Congestive Heart Failure , Asthma , Diabetes and Osteoarthritis . Life is a real bitch if you don't take care of yourself . I have to take 16 pills a day , for the various ailments. I'm only 37 and live life like a 70 year old. Take care of your body , it's the only one you get.    maxx

Atrial fibrillation.  Had the knees replaced so their OK.  Had a double bypass so that's OK.  Had renal cell carcinoma so that's been fixed.  Tore a hole in my stomach but that's been fixed.  Big hernia repaired so that's been fixed.  Keep breaking and the doc's keep fixing.  Something called an elevated hemi-diaphragm.  Guess I'll get that fixed for good luck in 2006!

I have achilles tendonosis in both feet.

Also a lot of pain in my right foot all the time, since my achilles snapped off of the damn thing during a PT run.  At least I am getting disability benefits for it.

I have a severe allergy to drug seekers, welfare losers, skank hos and various flavors of the mentally ill. I don't get a rash or have trouble breathing, it just makes me really really pissed.

Nobody has been able to come up with a cure. Even tried aversion therapy but it only made it worse.

lower back pain that (my guess) is related to a pinched nerve.

semi-crippling.  I can walk, but look like Walter Brennan on a bad day.

Fortunately, it only hits me 3 or 4 times a year and lasts for 2 to 4 days at most
