Just curious to see if anyone has a mega collection. I'm talking originals, not copied Blockbuster rentals.
Somewhere between 300-350 (and about 150 Laserdiscs as well).
Around 500 or so - used CD/DVD stores are a goldmine for getting bargains...
about 20, I don't find many movies worth watching more than once
I'm going to take some time off if I mistakenly buy another one I already have. I've only done that once so far. |
Seven.
Heat Reident Evil Sum of all Fears SWAT Eraser North by Northwest Blast from the Past Yep, I don't think I am forgetting any |
I've done that several times now. Sometimes it's the wife doing it. Even with a computerized list....... |
Three hundred something.
ETA - I remember the first one I bought in '96 or '95 (along with a $600 2x DVD-ROM so I could play it) was Dumb and Dumber, a steal for $50. |
Damn, I need to catch up. Anybody have any cool storage systems for their collection?
87
Actually a couple hundred - mostly Japanese Anime for the wife. |
Somewhere around 1200. About 200 of those have not yet been watched.....
Anybody remember the 800.com (around '98, I think) "3 DVD's for $1" deals? Those were the days....
I have two (sets)
Band of brothers and South Park season 4 I don't watch many DVDs |
Less than 30, I probably have 1500 or more vhs tapes though. I cant stand that damn letter box theater format they use with dvds. If its not a fullscreen dvd, I stick with vhs for now.
Damn! Who let the Luddite in? |
I have 26 ,23 of which came out of the $5 bin or were used the other 3 were gifts
couple hundred i dont really know nor do i care to really count them
For insurance purposes you should know how many, and which titles you own. A "couple hundred" would cost between $2000 - $4000 to replace. I use DVD Profiler to track mine: DVD Profiler It's free, and counts 'em fer ya...... |
I actually prefer the dvds, but I just like fullscreen, if I wanted to see it as it was shown in the theater, I would go to the theater! This reminds me, I need to buy The Wild Geese now that its out on dvd. |

184 separate titles, I count a tv season with 8 DVD's as 1 DVD. Going to grab 1 or more tommorrow (Serenity and maybe some cheapies)
I have more around the house, but I am lucky that I dont lend none out http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y116/donovan007007/DVDcollection.jpg

All I know is that I need another DVD stand.
I figure I got around 200-225 (Action,Comedy,Anime) Plus the 3 I picked up today at Best buy's during work. |
about 50. I try to keep it to good movies.
My most recent pick up was the lethal weapon box set at best buy for $17, what a deal. |
Only about a dozen. Only made the switch to DVDs a couple of years ago, and not willing to buy most DVDs unless its a movie I particularly like.
I have hundreds of LaserDiscs and 2 working players, so I've been dragged slowly into DVDs... at first I only bought titles that I didn't already own on LD or that were remastered/somehow improved. I only recently started getting some of my favorite titles on DVD that I already have on LD. I figure about the time I finish fully converting over a newer, better format will become the new standard and...
As to the original question, I own more firearms than DVDs. |
You like seeing less of the movie? ehh whatever Not many, probably just under 75 here. Does anyone have the Criterion collection version of Robocop? |
500 times average of 15.00 =7500.00 Thats a fucking M16 man |
I have 3
Jackal - it was in the DVD player when I bought it (used) Front Site promo DVD - gift Boondock Saints $1.99 @ pawnshop. |
Lets see... two 8' bookcases full. Seven shelves on each case, 63 dvd's on a shelf makes 882 dvd's. Average price of $12 = about 11 Bushmasters. What happened to my priorities!?
About 23 DVD movies/tv shows. About 7 of those are seasons of TV shows (all 4 seasons of 24!)
Around 250.
I used to track all the purchases via Dvdtracker Which I believe our own Dvdtracker owns/runs/setup/etc... |
