Yeah, that's a question I would answer...especially with a cop asking it...

Wouldn't admission of said be a violation of CoC?

PA used to be a discretionary-issue state. You had to know someone important to get a permit. I didn't know anyone important, but carried anyway.

ETA: The statute of limitations was up a LONG time ago on this past criminal action.

don't be a pussy.

I carried for years that way.  I even waited for a few years after we had our CCW program before I went legit.

That what I thought.  At the ending of the AWB some guy got locked because he said he modified his AR before midnight.

I'm not asking now but many years ago, beside it is a non prosecutable misdemonear.

It is/was a felony in some states....

While in Illinois, only cops and politicians and criminals could carry.  I was not a cop or a politician, so I was a criminal.

After moving to Washington state, I still refused for years to get a "permit" because it is a violation of my Constitutional rights.  And yes, I carried.

To my shame, eventually the illegitimi carborundum'ed me.  O the embarassment.

Never carried a pistol illegally. That's what pistol grip shotguns and folder M1 carbines were for.

What is the statute of limitations?

Personally, I would never commit a crime.

Does that help any?

I did.

Alerted cop anytime I was pulled over.  Never had a problem.

Yes, I did, in NYC and elsewhere while traveling.    And, though I have a permit good throughout the South, through Texas and in AZ, I also carry anyway in phony-law states.  Concealed means concealed.  If there's a cop in the area, then I won't have to worry about the criminal.  If the criminal attacks, the cop will take care of it, and my concealed item still stays concealed.  If there's no cop to stop the criminal, then there's no cop to see me pull it out and deal with the situation.  Simple.

I've been carrying off-and-on since I was 17 years old.

Finally got my CCW last year so I'm legal.

many times, in my vehicle, we have an open carry law (NC).  Who hasn't seen a pickup truck with a rifle or shotgun in the back window on a rack before? Especially down South.

Been known to do that before I got a permit. More than a few times.

It's an open secret that a lot of women carry guns w/o permits. A woman can get a gun very easily: buy one for cash off the street, get the hubby/boyfriend to get her one, dad or other relatives will get her one, etc. And when was the last time you've heard anyone turn a woman in for carrying? You've seen the stats regarding the number of scum out on the street, the ladies better be packing H.E.A.T.

Newbies.

Washington State has had CCW so long it's a right of passage for many.  When I turned 21 over 20 years ago it had been around a long time.

Very rarely, only when I was visiting my sister-in-law in the projects and then it was open carry. Still not entirely legal in the People's Republic of Denver.
