What do you consider the WORST thing one person can do to another? Think of it as the worst sin.

My opinion: Betrayal

Betrayal as well. Nothing hurts as much as having someone that you trust (did trust) turn around and stab you in the back.

Unless this betrayal of trust is for your own good, like in the case of a suicidal person (obviously not the case for Zaphod).

Say they are going to buy a bunch of your stuff that you are selling then keep stringing you along with reasons why they haven't sent payment yet, simply to fuck with your sales, just because they hated some stupid drunk post you had in GD one night at 4am.

.... Well, it's in the top 50 of "worst things". Let face it, there is no "worst thing".

I mean what is worse, someone rapes your daughter or kills her then rapes her? Shit, it's all fucking horrible. How about we not dwell on horrible shit?!?!?!

I've hauled murdered people in the back of my truck, and I've hauled raped women (and one man, that died from it) in my truck. Trust me, Rape victims feel MUCH worse than muder victims.

Zaphod, I can agree with you on that one on a personal level.

And anything that stops a life has to be the worst, because it leaves no other options.

But, character assassination (bearing false witness) also does great harm.

Betrayal.. It's right up there. Hope all is well. If it is a woman, it will pass.. I know this. If it is a friend, then that person wasn't really a friend, and if family, well we don't get the luxury of choosing them..

Betrayal has ALWAYS been something that sticks in my craw. It's one of the reasons I can't stomach watching "Air Force One", for example...

I'd have to say slavery also. It's one thing to kill...it's over and done with and can be accidental, sometimes justified, and often the killer can regret it later. Slavery is ongoing torment, taking advantage of someone. Child molestation and rape, those are also over-and-done-with things. Traumatic, but the victims do maintain their freedom in the end.

I think the only thing that could be worse then what was done to you by a woman you cared deeply for is IF by some way she [or someone] could have hurt your child/or loved ones.

You have a right to be angry, hurt, any emotion in the spectrum. I think under the circumstances you're handling it very very well. I pity that woman. She really screwed up. My great grandfather used to have a saying "Never screw up a free meal and ask for change."
