No $***! My on-board emergency water supply has been frozen solid for almost 2 weeks. I don't carry enough fuel for my camp stove to melt nearly enough of it if it came down to needing it. Guess I could siphon unleaded from my truck (the stove is a muti-fuel unit). My sleeping bag that I carry in my pack is only rated to 20F. Really going to have to re-think a lot of how I operate once I make the move up north for real. Oh, well... that's part of the fun of going someplace different than you're used to.

Just add a drop of whiskey in your water bottle (or a drop of water in your whiskey bottle) , get a blanket for your sleeping bag, make friends with a good woman and you can survive winter anywhere!

Was out last night calling coyotes by moonlight @ between -10f and -20f. Partners eyelids froze open
and i had about an inch of ice on my beard when we got back to the truck. |

Buy better quality window cleaner with less water and don't let asshats at the drive through oil change depots top up your reservoir - all hope is lost when the fluid freezes in the reservoir and nozzles. |
