Ideas, I am on a budget so I need to make a list and stick to it.  I know I shouldn't go to the store hungry, but nothing here sounds good.  And I haven't been to the store in almost a month.

how much of a "budget"?  starving student counting pennies for ramen packets?  or not so extreme?

A sack of big potatos.  Hard to beat a big baked potato with butter, salt, pepper and Bake-Os.  Buy a cheap ham and bake it too.

Winn-Dixie has 10 Freezer-Queen tv dinners for $10...

2 or 3 are probably enough for one meal...

potatos, sour cream, a dab of milk and butter, and a packet of ranch dressing mix makes for the best mashed potatos in the world.  they are their own meal.

rice with cream of mushroom soup and some chicken is a great meal as well, pretty damn cheap too.

pasta is cheap and incredibly versatile.

ro-tel tomatoes are outstanding and go with damn near anything.

I ran out of "points" on my student meal plan so I'm down to eating whatever is left in my ice box, which turned out to be half a jar of nacho cheese and a bunch of Keystone Light

Go to the market, buy a whole perdue chicken for 4 to 5 bucks.Take can of budwieser, drink half.Shove the can up the chickens ass, standing it up on the can of beer in a casserole dish, rub the outside of the chicken with butter, salt and pepper it.Into the oven at 350 for 1 to 1.5hrs,depending on the weight of said chicken. When the skin starts to get really crispy and the breast is about 160 degrees, make some 99 cent lipton chicken flavored rice. You will have enough chicken for leftovers

Dude, got to try it sometime though, you can substitute stovetop stuffing for the rice.Prep time is like 10 minutes or less. And if you are wanting to get real "fancy",take a can of cambels cream of chicken soup, add about a half a can of water to it,simmer and you have a great gravy for the stuffing and chicken.

1 pound ground beef
1 can ranch style beans
1 can cheap biscuits
grated cheddar cheese

Brown the beef and drain, add the can of beans

Put the biscuits in a muffin tin, make a depression in each, fill with meat and bean mixture, top with cheese and bake according to directions on the can.  Top with some Pace chunky and your good to go.

Warm the leftover meat and beans the next day and place in a flour tortilla for a cheap burrito or add to a can of tomato soup.
