I wrapped up finals week for this semester this morning at 11.  FINALLY!

Five exams in the last 2.5 days, and i feel like this -->

This is my fourth year of Mechanical Engineering, and for some crazy reason I added pre-med and some other stuff as well, so I will be taking an additional year.  More than once, I contemplated changing my major to psychology or something easy as i unsuccessfully attempted to solve problems that are possible only in an imaginary realm or tore my hair out trying to interpret plots, charts, and graphs that are nearly impossible to grasp the meaning of without a PhD at 0300.

How did your semester fare?  Feel free to say what you're majoring in (or not) and any other info.
Big plans for the break?

My happy ass is headed out to Steamboat, CO, for a week of skiing at 1800.  I can't wait, as I had a blast at Breckenridge last year.

Finished last week.

Planning on doing some shooting during the break. Between school and work, there's no time during the semester.

Back to the grind on 6 Jan and graduate on 6 May.

My first semester of college ended on Wednesday. Extremely challenging courseload, ridiculous engineering competition, yea....did not do so great.

NExt semester should be better though: Hopefully I can bring my GPA up

Better do it sooner rather than later, that law of averages will bite you in the ass.

Me? I changed majors.

I've had better semesters. This semester I fell victim to the "focus on the hard classes and forget about the easy ones" syndrome and my GPA dropped to 3.51.

First Semester GPA: 3.38

Current: 3.8

It takes time, but it's very possible to bring it up.  I'll be happy with a 3.9.

GAHHHHHH!!@#

One semester I took micro and macro economics... BACK TO BACK. Yeah, that's right, a 4 hour block... and I managed to get As in both classes.

But i got a C in intro to philosophy as well as intro to cultural sociology even though they were both stupid bullshit classes... giving me a nice round semester GPA of 3.0.

This semester's been pretty brutal with public finance and game theory. I'm probably going to unwind slowly... watch a zombie movie, drink a few beers. Tommorow night i'm going out partying with a ladyfriend, hopefully won't puke on the dance floor like usual. haha, j/k.

2nd year Chemical Engineering. Finished my term Thursday. I had a heavier than normal course load, 19 credit hours during my days and night schooling for NY EMT-B. I survived with more As than not-As.

Next semester will be better, just 17 credits with my nights free, finally. I just need a social life now that I'm so used to not having one.

Going home and shooting up the sociology books I couldn't sell. Sociology is a cesspool of liberalism. Communism, socialism, welfare, the "common good," affirmative action, and the like. I need a heavy dose of conservatism just to balance myself out after 3.5 months of that crap. Thank God, I have ARFCOM!

congratulations to all on the job you did this semester.  Those of you unhappy about a 3.5 or so...well, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, especially if you're in a technically challenging major.  I am busting my ass to get stuff done, but between work, school, and PT 4-5x a week i have about a 3.4.  Could it be a little higher?  Yep, , but I've had fun and done a whole lot of stuff I wouldn't have had opportunities to get involved in had I not gotten myself out of the library into the sunlight on those occasions.  (Though there were more than a few all-nighters even to get that kind of gpa.)

The snow here in Steamboat Springs is great.  Skied today and had a good time.  I'm headed out with friends for the evening!

Finished my last final (Psychology) on Thursay, now I just have to wake up at 3:00 AM every morning for work all of Christmas break.

Of course, it's a community college. I studied for about, oh, an hour or two for each final just before I left for class (in one instance I didn't even study at all) and I still have a 4.0. This place is a joke.

Cool, finished last week. I'm in my 4th year of mechanical engineering. only a few hours from my bachelor's but I'm taking a bunch of split level classed beyond the undergrad requirements. Good luck with the rest of your schooling. Don't leave engineering man, you've got to stay with it so you can look down on everybody else because you have gained some kind of amazing knowledge engineering that no others can ever asqire to gain in their puny mortal lives........

Just kidding.

Honestly, once I figured out that all but one or two of my professors need their solutions manuals to check their own work, and often get things wrong anyway...I didn't feel so bad about the times I choked.
