I'd vote for him over Hillary in any election. I'd prefer Newt Gingrich if I had my way.

Fuck no + 1!
would be no different than voting for Hillary (as far as gun rights are concerned). |
+1 After I voted for Bush in 2004 I refused to give a vote for pragmatism's sake alone ever again. Hell, I can't even see the pragmatism arguement with him. A libertarian-minded candidate or None of the Above. Plain and simple. All this stuff makes me want to start a thread: Boxer or Feinstein? |
Honestly, if Hillary, Guiliani, and McCain are the only people who are going for the job as president, I'm movin' to Canada :). |
If Giuliani is the answer, it must be a really shitty question.
If it comes down to Hillary and a RINO, then we unite conservatives and libertarians and throw all our support to a 3rd party candidate. Afterall, there's no reason at all to be forced to try to choose the lesser of two evils among two parties. This is America afterall. If we don't like the dem or repub nominees, then we find someone else we do like. A 3rd party candidate can win. All they need is the necessary support. If you have a liberal and RINO going head to head, that leaves a lot of people without a voice. In such a case, rallying around a better 3rd party candidate is the best option. Even if you don't win, you at least send a message and vote based on your beliefs, which is what we should always do anyway.
No, don't think he'd win the primaries anyways, I think the conservatism movement is quite strong now (look how Meirs got shot down) and a RINO will have a tough time making it.
Yes, assuming Newt Gingrich or Fred Thompson didn't run.
Blake |
No. I refuse to vote for a RINO be he Guiliani, McCain or any other. I will vote third party with a good conscience.
I doubtGuiliani would make it through the primaries. I think McCain would nosedive straight away with New Hampshire (are they still the first?). |
I'd rather clean every toilet in Grand Central Station with my tongue than vote Rudolf Gulianni into the oval office.
Dave |
Of course I would vote for him.
Voting 3rd party is the same as not voting, and not voting would just help the Democrat. Unless you have a particular desire to see a Democrat in office, you really should vote for the Republican. Do it because you feel they are the better candidate, or do it to put the lesser of two evils in office. But if you don't do it, we get to kick you in the nuts if HRC gets elected. |
Yes.
Tomislav is right. Besides, I know Giuliani, and aside from one glaring error (which he recognizes), he's an honorable man. Do I agree with him on everything? Nope, but I sure as hell trust him more than any dem you can mention. Not an ideal candidate, and I would NOT vote for him in the primaries, but far better than the alternatives. |
No. If conservatives voted for him because they had no choice, the next repub. candidate would be someone just like him. Thats personally not what I want to see happening. I would vote a 3rd party candidate, then work to hold the house and senate. Without those, Hitlery would be hamstrung in a lot of ways.
I hope the repub party pulls their collective heads out of their asses and quits trying to be lib. lite. Conservatives hate it and the libs will hate them anyway. Losing plan any way you look at it. |

The motto of the 2008 presidential campaign....... |
Yeah, and giving the election to the libs would sure teach them a lesson or two! |
+1 |
No,just because he has a different letter after his name than Hitlery wouldnt make me vote for him.I guess I dont get the whole "as long as the libs arent in the whitehouse" argument when he is just as liberal.I will however vote for conservatives for both the house and senate, but would either write in Dolimite or Swingset for POTUS and the other for VPOTUS.I could MAYBE hold my nose and vote McCain, allthough I think I would have to get really drunk before going to vote though. And just think of the many showers it would take to ever feel clean again
Oh, PLEASE! Look, I'll agree that his stance on gun control sucks, but there is a LOT more to it than just that. You want Hillary (who can't make a speach without first figuring out what the audience wants to hear, rather than growing some balls and just telling us what she thinks) running the war? I will say this, though: If he is the only guy we can put up, it's a sad reflection on US. I'd still prefer him to Hillary or sKerry. |
No, Guiliani was a nothing Mayor in NYC. He did give great support during the events of Sept. 11 but thats it.
Uhm, he did quite a job cleaning up NYC. I know, Time Square will never be the same, but give the man his due. |
It doesn't matter what party, if the are liberal or conservative, I will never vote for someone who openly supports restricting my firearm rights. If the Republican's can't find a candidate who supports firearm owners then they will not get my vote. The choice is up to them.
After holding my nose and voting the lesser of two evils, I have vowed to never again to that.
This country needs a major overhaul. Simply by voting the less of two evils, we are only delaying the downward slide. From here on, I will vote my consience. |
Huge +1 |
Actually, it DOES teach a lesson to the repub party. It shows them that if they put up liberal RINOs, we are not going to vote for them because they have a elephant and an R in front of them. The best thing that happened to the firearms industry and related gun culture and to the conservative movement in general was B Klinton. Because of his actions, it strengthened the conservatives in this Country, lost the libs the house and senate and changed the entire political landscape. Why do people forget that before 94" the libs/dems ran the house and senate for 50 years? 94" was a huge watershed moment and one that should not be forgotten. Unfortunately, the repubs seem to have done a fine job of collective assheading trying to forget. I won't support people like McCain [I personally think he has some mental problems from Nam and imprisonment]who I see no reason to trust on anything, or Guliani who is a HUGE liberal save for fiscal management. Law and order at the expense of my constitutional rights is not the way to go. The repub party is finally finding a bit of backbone but it has a long way to go before it finds it's balls. There are way to many liberals that have found a home there, and way to many people who stupidly vote for them simply based on the R. Thanks to all the Rs who are conservative and have the courage to abide by the Constitution, and raspberries to all the asswipes like my POS liberal R. Rep [Schwartz] who should have never made it past the primaries. That was thanks to all the LIB democrats who chose to vote in the R primaries to screw us on our choices. That is FACT, as the union even sent out a letter urging members to vote for him. |
