Playing paintball in MOUT sites is a gas!! We play once a year at Ft. Campbells site.
yup, and the guys going throughs targets are either me or other instructors when they go through. Anybody on that site who is going to go through the course let me know, I know we train all kindsa people. |
This class was infantry guys, before that we trained parachute packers, and then before that we trained brig gaurds, we get all kinds. |
They can f-ing HURT if you get hit on a place that isn't padded! |
MOUT towns are badass. My company built Leschi Town at Ft. Lewis WA.
I want simunitions but it's difficult to find anyone who'll sell to us peasants.
Since you're so helpful, perhaps you could make a few suggestions? |
You're the peasant right? Do the work. IN all seriousness... check out UTMs
BTW Ace, nice pics. Best MOUT site I was in was the one down at LeJuene. Blew the ones we had at Bragg out of the water. |
....waiting for the ACLU to sue because of the cross on top of "City Hall"....
Thats where I work. |
Man that town is better then the old combat town we had Back in the 80's and we had those clumsy miles laser tag junk.

Not city hall... That is a church |
Just a guess, but the mask doesn't really let you get good cheek-weld etc. |
Oooh, even worse, a church located on government property. Sorry for the hijack. Back to the point. RustedAce's town looks european to me. Someone was thinking of Bosnia? The 29 Palms one looks like something outside of Bagdad. |
doesnt really matter with sim rounds, cant get cheekweld with mask and accuracy isnt that much with sims. |

I had a friend who was a USMC instructor for a while out west in what he described as an abandoned neighborhood. He told me one story of how in their spare time they would just mess around with the houses because they were scheduled to be demolished. One day they were throwing doorknobs through the sheetrock when he got a crazy idea in his head. The next day during training he was getting ready to clear a room when he threw a "grenade" through the sheetrock into the next room, "killing" everyone inside. The guy supervising the training said it was the funniest thing he had ever seen and pronounced all the guys "dead"
Cool. We were there back in 1996. Only thing I remember in particular about the place was a giant two story warehouse type building. Do believe it was set at an angle to the rest of the buildings and was on the outer edges of the town. |
right now they are adding like 2 miles of tunnels behind that. I dont want to have to go teach people how to clear that, crouching the whole time. |
Oooooo, that would be great for Air$oft!!!!
Cool job RustedAce! The harder you train them here, the easier they'll have it "over there". So I've read. |
Did the bust course there in May. Great experience, and the house of pain sucked. Is Cpl. Holt still working down there or did he get out?
Actually that sounds like Marsh AFB. I've been there. It's several hundred abondoned ranch house and single story buildings on a 1 sq. mile site. Bomber |
He's still there, just about to get out, think in a month or so. |
Ah, memories. Doesn't look like it's changed too much since I got out in 96. Are all of the streets still themed from the Andy Griffith show? Aunt Bea Lane etc....
The Sim rounds work great. Accuracy sucks a little and sometimes the little bastards don't break so they hurt like a MFer!!!! I took my team to the Coast Guard to train their Sea Marshals in CQC tactics for maritime operations.. Talk about a blast!! First time aboard a ship, it was crazy!! Those poor Coasties were bleeding everywhere! Sorry to get off track... Awesome pictures Rusted!!!! I miss doing CQC work! Good luck! |
Nice setup. Looks a lot more user friendly that FT. Campbell's. They have all sorts of stuff scattered through the town to simulate debris from battles. I cut the shit out of myself on a broken computer monitor right before I shot a female hard-charger in her ovaries.
Holy shee-yat that looks like fun. Does this mean no more sandbox for you, Ace?
Grenades go through sheetrock. That may be the single most potentially useful thing I've ever discovered on the internet! With my luck, though, I'd try it and hit the joist and it'd bounce back at me. CJ |
Sadly yes, I would have to re-up to go back, I dont have enough time to go back and they wouldnt let me stay, may get a job where I go back though. |
Okay now it's time to come clean. You're really here on this sight showing all the cool stuff in an effort to recruit aren't you?
Stay safe. Wear your cup. |
you would all get kicked out for trying to put too many doodads on your rifles. |
