Good for you!! I'm an 11B but never been to the "Ft. Benning School for Boys."

I got my 11B qualification through an Army registered school (TASS) run by the NG. Wish it would've been Ft. Benning though.

Congrats, bro.

Graduated Feb 1983, then on to BAS then to the 1/75 at Hunter. Your career is just starting. Be sure to take all the classes they will let you, even field sanitation. It's worth it. Be sure to get to BAS and AAS as soon as you can.

Drive on, Cherry!

I was so cold at Fort Benning when I did Jump School.

It is no fun doing PT in the cold without your Field Jackets.
And when I did get to have my field jacket on I had no liner.  I was miserable almost all the time.  But at least I got to wear gloves.  Sawdust so infiltrated my gloves and glove liners I had to buy new ones at Clothing Sales.

My Jump School started a few weeks into the year.  The temps got down to 10 to 15 degrees outside.
Texas was warmer!

If he's smart he'll get himself a liner for his Field Jacket.

Damn!  but I was cold!

But I left with Jump Wings to wear.

Congrats gsd-Rocky... now 4187 yourself over to Jump School and take the "...first step to being a man..."

I finished 11B OSUT in Dec 1983 and Jump School in Jan 1984.  Loved that first day 'smoke session' with all the ROTC kiddies falling out... that and watching the SEALS low-crawl in that little creek there 'checking for mines' was great fun!

True paratroopers go through D co 1/507th, "The Rock".         "Why aint you running Airborne?!!!"

I'll second the person saying to volunteer for RIP during Abn school if you arent already going there.  Also, dont sew a 507 crest to your beret.
