Bloomberg is an idiot

"This is plain and simple -- the NRA versus the lives of our children and our police officers,"

Read the article, I concur.

Sure it is. It has absolutely nothing to do with the city's inability to secure a conviction for criminal behavior (something like 60% of criminals on trial go free, not to mention the huge percentage that never even get to trial and walk), nothing to do with animals being let out of jail after serving laughable, preposterous sentences for serious crimes, nothing to do with repeat felons receiving time served/probation for committing the same offense over and over, nothing to do with a largely criminal society in much of that hole of a city...

Fuck New York and their socialist, welfare politics. God bless their cops, but fuck that cesspool of a city.

BTW, in case it's brought up, I lived there for 25 years, so I'm entitled to say that.

State political leaders, including Bloomberg, are also pushing for harsher penalties for anyone convicted of attacking police officers. The "Crimes Against Cops Law" would boost the length of prison terms for anyone who commits such a crime.

In other words, NY wants to make it really really a superduper crime if you attack a cop.  THEN people won't do it.  Kinda like gun control - we are really really serious. The gun was traced stolen from some poor decent  FLORIDIAN!

Ahhhhh, I say put a big WALL all around NYC - (and ALL of New Jersey) nobody gets in or out.  It's for their own protection.     Damn the EVIL NRA, They (you and me) are responsible for the criminal behavoir in FLORIDA stealing a gun and going home with it to NY!

This paragraph has it right about stricter laws.

While New York City's Republican mayor, the state's Democratic U.S. senator and other leading Democrats want to change gun laws, nearly seven of ten people who responded to a New York 1 News poll disagreed. Asked whether they thought "stricter gun control laws would have made a difference in the cases of Officers Dillon Stewart and Daniel Enchautegui," the clear majority said changing the laws would have little or no effect.

Bloonberg can't even come up with his own brand of Bullsh*t, he's gotta copy someone elses.

This crap is a repeat of the Boston mayor 2 weeks ago spouting off the same things, "Guns flooding into Mass from New Hampshire and Vermont, blah, blah, blah"
