We need help ID this rifle the guy standing onthe right holding the rifle that is scoped what is it??
Not trying to steal any thunder so here is alink to his thread ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=418188&page=19 |
That was my first thought, with some kind of scout scope setup? But that doesn't look like a long-relief scope, does it? |
Look at it with the possability that that the guy sucking his thumb has another gun in his right hand that is behind the gun in question...adding parts and shadows. |
I was wondering the same thing myself......
It looks like an m14 with pistol grip and scout mounted scope......but then again I'm with METT T, it doesn't look like a long relief scope...... |
Maybe a Shotgun of some type? Dont know why they would put a scope on it though.......
Except the rail for that shotgun is behind the forgrip. The mistery gun has the scope mounted well in front of the action, above the forgrip. |
Yes, I saw that. But it looks like he has a tactical shotgun of some type. And that would explain that one guy reverting back into an infant. Pull out a 12 gauge, rack one and most people around you will start sucking their thumb. |
He should just walk around with a tape recorder. |
I'd say it's a Hakim in an M1E2 style stock...
Tried to Google for images but didn't find any. |
I dont, but still looks like one, why the scope!? |
sorta does thats what i thought but not really sure |
my first thought but looking at the close up it is clearly not. and it has a pistol grip |
I was thinking Saiga too, but it doesn't look like an AK action. Ah! How about a pistol grip BM-59? The slanted magazine was buggin' me but I think the BM has one...looking for a pic... |
I hereby draw attention to the fact that BM59 was in my original post above yours (pre-edit) and that if we decide it is a '59 I beat you by a good 39 seconds or so. hmm..but actually the slant's the wrong way...photo effect, maybe? I dunno... |
METT-T we cannot help it if our brains are much much better then others at IDing weapons. No doubt Army Intelligence will makes it way to our houses fo rsome cozy ass job looking at satelitte pictures of russian and chinese tanks.
Hold on, they're knocking right now edited for lack of reading skills...finals are pounding my nuts flat, I need to go to bed... |
I'm seeing it that way too. Guy in front has an AK or M16. There is someone or something behind. Look how uneven it is forward of his front hand. |
All this talk over a BM59 and no one can ID my Point Blank vest for me???? dammit
What, slung? I think I can clearly see both of thumbsucker's thumbs. One's poised just above his tiny shriveled manhood and the other's in his mouth. I don't see how he could be holding anything in his right hand. |
Please, in a sane, rational manner, explain to me the achieved goal of them doing that. |
have no more info but it looks to me like it has some sort of grenade launching apparatus on the barrel
you heard it here first.. Black Dragunov type with some FARKED up scope scope mount involving the rear sight base or some custom refugee camp work on teh handguard.
Call home and tell one of your buddies to smoke this asshole so we can find out what he's carrying and settle this. |
I was just messin around. But they could be like [news agency guy] "hey, dude, these palestinians don't have crap for an arsenal! Let's create a tactical gun that has a scope and a silencer to make them look less wussified.... *Martin goes in the backroom to draw what he thinks add ons should look like on a gun, and thus the palestinian tactical carbine is born. |
hahahah I REALLY want to say M1A scout, but there's just no way....... He'd have to be using an M14E2 stock and the odds of that combo.... (one or the other could probably be explained away - The stock could be on a rifle from lebenon as mentioned, and an M1A scout provided by shitheads like Al Arian is nota stretch. But that stock on that rifle??? I'm guessing more probably its an accurized M14. Most pali milittant guns are stolen from dead israelis or stolen by isralei organized crime from IDF and there are M25-type guns in that inventory. but then how did they get that scope on the scout position and why? Too drunk to think this out now... need to finish term paper due in 16 hours...) |
I am almost 99% certain that whatever it is happens to be is some sort of AK/Dragunov based design.
OH SHIT I GOT IT!!!!!! Should I tell ya? Come on beg me! okay, I'm gonna backtrack now.... I was thinking the stock shape and barrel length suggersted a PKM, but that still doesn't explain teh handgaurd.... it DOES explain the ghetto scope mounting though to avoid the feed cover..... |
To cause this thread. |
Devious bastards! |
you know that hte AP, reuters and AFP watch lumpy's threads! |
look like a SKS to me the grenade launcher adapter on the end of the barrel. the mag at an angle. you can get a 15 dollar adapter to mount ANY scope on one of those. I got mine at centerfiresystems.
not a bad call, looking through SKS catalgoues, there are probably gas tube cover mounts out there that come with shitty scopeslike teh one he's got, could be an aftermarket PG stock on there... he really needs to BRING HIS SKS INTO THE 21ST CENTURY!!!! I love that ad.... |
Officially the longest amount of time an "ID this rifle" thread has run on ARFCOM without a definitive answer???
I know its crazy!!!!!!!!!! |
My first thought was the Steyr Scout too.
But I played a bit with the photo and it looks more like a the pictured BM59 with pistol grip stock with....a Harvey Lee Oswald Special Carcano scope mount? |
+1 for thinking its a shot gun. I dont see a magazine, I see a Stainless ramp for a shot gun loader.
I think he jerry rigged a scope on there somehow. Maybe for slugs? |
DUH....airsoft. |
