look at Versoix, a town close to Geneva City, Switzerland.
The water in the background is the Léman Lake.

That is too cool. No pun intended.

ETA: is this a common occurance, and if so what is the plan to thaw those rigs.

Well the most ice I have ever seen is about 3 inches on everything, and that was bad enough.

This...This is just insane. Good thing there aren't many big trees around...

I have some similar looking pictures on my home pc. In fact, I believe I have the one with the red van. Always wondered where that was and whether it was a one time deal.

I haven't heard much on that topic since it has been colder than normal this winter. But I'm sure I'll hear about it again in the summer

No problem with a remote starter.  Don't forget to leave the heat on and set to defrost.

That first picture was in Maxim magazine about a year+ ago. Awesome picture.

IIRC a super cold front came in, along with some wicked wind. As it was blowing water off the lake it was freezing onto everything.

That is such a cool picture.

I had about an inch one time and it sealed the car shut!  Several buckets of steamy water later I managed to get a door open.  About 20 minutes later the car warmed up enough that the ice could be pushed off the hood an windows.

But I think if I came out and had 3-5 inches of ice I would just call in sick.

I'm guessing AAA wasn't going to help you that day, huh?
Is that your garage?

This seems like a good reason to leave the heater switches in the on positions when leaving your car and having a remote starter.
