The Bushmaster hard case measures about 49"-50" in lenght, and 10 1/2"-11" wide. It is a plastic hard case with foam inside on top and bottom. It is only $15 and is tough enough to take a little punishment without damaging the goods. I am not sure of the model/brand that they are, but it will do fine for most needs. I just got my weapon back from thier service dept. Even though I sent my weapon to Bushy in a cardboard box, they sent it back in a new hard case free of charge! That was very cool of them.

I forgot to mention that a rifle with a lenght of 38" will fit inside with room for a cleaning kit and a couple of mags or a pistol. Once closed, your weapon will not move around it the case.
