Thinking about getting a Colt Python next.

S&W K22 (.22) with six-inch barrel, target sights and grips. My favorite for sentimental reasons: My dad and mom gave it to me for my eighth-grade graduation present many years ago. Can't ever part with that, especially since he's gone now; brings back good memories ever time I look at it, plus it's a really nice gun. [:)]

I tend to like revolvers over the auto, except for the 1911, of which I have more than a few. For revolvers I have a 454 Ruger SRH, 44Mag SRH, Colt 44Mag Anaconda, S&W 44Mag V-Comp, two Colt Dick Specials, a Colt Agent, 357 Colt Combat  Cobra, 44mag Desert Eagle and soon to be added a 50 Desert Eagle. Woops, almost forgot a 38Spl S&W airweight bodyguard.

I love revolvers.  The 1911 and German Luger are the only autos I love more than revolvers.

"Cut my teeth" on a S&W Model 19 with 2.25" barrel with .38s loaded in it (I was only 12), and .357 loads in a Ruger Blackhawk with 7 1/2" barrel.

My personal collection is two Model 19 with 4" barrels (one blued, the other one nickel finish), and a Model 66 with the 2.25" barrel.  Also have an OLD Colt .41 caliber DA revolver from the 30's--but would be scared to death to shoot it as it is in bad condition (family heirloom that wasn't taken care of at all).

Looking to buy a Model 19 with 2.25" barrel currently, and maybe some Ruger .22LR revolvers for my kiddos.

I have always prefered revolvers over semi-autos
excluding of course the M1911A1. Just a little sentimental about the wheel guns and my S&W M-66. It was my first duty gun. I would take the .357 magnum over most any semi auto round any day. Excluding of course the .45ACP.

I prefer automatics purely from a perspective of engineering.

However, I do like S&W revolvers.

I have 2 of them are pre-sell out:

629 Classic .44 mag with 6 1/2" barrel
640 .357 with 2 1/4" barrel.

Both of these revolvers kick more than most of my automatics

Colt Python.  6 inch, that incredible Colt blue and a factory Ted Tedford action job.

Oh yeah, and a Model 29, 65, 642 and, when they pull their head out, one of those green Model 629 Hunters.

s&w 629 5" right hand gun
s&w 629 5" left hand gun
s&w 629 6.5" w/ tasco propoint for hunting
s&w 629 8 3/8" w/ crimson trace laser grips for home defense

I like my smiths but they get lower case until they change their politics!!!!

Big revolver fan here.  I just shoot them better.

I like to show up at the indoor range with my 686 and shoot my homemade FULL HOUSE .357 magnums.

It must be the sonic boom created when the bullet goes supersonic that gets everyone's attention. [8D]

At last count there were;

51 S&W revolvers

A dozen Rugers single actions

Nearly a dozen Colts (mostly single actions)

Four Virginia Dragoons

Close to two dozen cap and ball revolvers

And some where in the neighborhood of 20 other miscellaneous revolvers.

I suppose that would qualify me as a revolver fan. But then I have an auto or two as well plus some handguns such as single shots and derringers that do not fall into the revolver nor semi-auto classification.
