I am getting my first ar in a couple of weeks. Ive heard of BSZ. What is it and how do I get Mine to it? Also, Do they need a breakin period or can I shoot anything in any amount? And what is the barrel life?

Gosh I own 6 and don't know what a "BSZ" is! Is it a good thing or a bad thing for your rifle to do?

Bump Shooting Z????

Amalite has a technical artical covering barrel brake in but a chrome lined barrel like the Bushmaster has doesn't require it.

Barrel life is measured in several thousands and thousands of rounds. I would expect 5000 before my groups started to open up at least. That is a lot of ammo.

A combat rifle should'nt need a break-in period. It should be good to go (except for the BSZ) right outta the box.
