I read a story that this young woman was initially refused when she tried to enlist because her recruiter thought she was too pretty for military service. By the way, did anyone notice the pictures from the Czech Republic? I am surprised that they are still not using AK-47s and have their own rifle (VZ-58?) still in use. |

I don't believe the Czechs ever used the AK, except for maybe a short time. I believe the Russians respected their arms making ability and let them use the VZ58. |

I remember in grade school this picture of an Israeli female soldier in one of our books. She was sooo gorgeous that I wanted to move to Israel in 6th grade and join the IDF. I doubt Id ever see that photo again.

Its a Bofors AK-5, the Sweedish version of an FN-FNC. Like people asking what gun from Heat, I asked what gun is from that pic---an FNC. It was just a small and obviously failed attempt at humor.
