Pretty wild. it even seemed to cause another accident after he was hit and got back up. If you watch as he gets up there is a black car that passes him, swerves hard left and hits the concrete wall on the other side of the hiway just in front of the truck pulling the camper.... WOW

[Anti-Cop Crew]  "Well, people are so freaked out by JBT's that seeing a cop car triggers a fight or flight reaction causing them to slam their brakes and lose control.  The driver was probably worried that his dog was going to get shot."[/Anti-Cop Crew]

[Anti-Citizen Cop] Well, see, those mere plebes called citizens have no business driving.  Only cops should have automobiles.   I'm the only one in this room....  [Anti-Citzen Cop]

I can't see the video, but if it's the one going around the police sites the driver was DWI.

Emergency lights attract them like moths. I've lost two patrol cars that way. (wasn't in them)

I've seen at least 3 videos on the local news that looked similar to that just in the last year.  I bet that happens once/week or more nationally.

Plenty of people on the shoulder of roads get hit, not just the cops.  The cops just happen to have camcorders, that's all.

Texas has a law that requires you to vacate the lane or slow to 20 MPH below the posted limit when any emergency vehicle is on the shoulder with it's overheads on. Despite the media campaign when the law was enacted, 99.9% of the public never heard of it.

Holy crap.  Not only did he not seem to have any serious injuries from getting hit, he managed to not get run over after being tossed into traffic.

Someone really likes him!

It looks like the SUV slid into the cruiser first, which probably slowed it down a bit before it hit the cop.  Still a hard hit, though.  That cop needs to play football!
