He had a roommate who fell behind on rent and he carried him for a while.  I got the impression that the roommate is now square with the house.  If he's not, then there is a process for evicting tenants.   That process in every state involves notice and an opportunity to cure.   The courts of most states have held, in the residential leasing context, that acceptance of future rent payments and failure to give notice of default will, after some period of time, result in a waiver of allegedly past due sums.  

Rights are great things, but in court the judges think of them as "use it or lose it" propositions.  Evicting a guy for non-payment of rent that is CURRENTLY still in default and in accordance with all applicable procedures is one thing.   Telling a guy to leave because he's uncomfortable with a third-party having a key and access to his stuff, and in the case of some of you yahoos, suggesting a forcible eviction without process, is another thing entirely.

And no, I would not take the case of someone I found morally reprehensible.   But in the case of my young lawyer trial for those college hotties, they were clearly the ones with valid grievences and the judge agreed.  (BTW, so did the appeals court).

He can tell them to Foff and move out and he may be able to  give her a key, if there is nothing against having someone else stay based on the lease.  However he can not forceable remove them from the property.  

I would also agree that she has screwed one or both of your roommates and that is why they no longer want her around.  She now makes them uncomfortable because they feel bad about it because they consider you a friend.

My girlfriends and my roommate's girlfriends have always pretty much come and gone as they pleased. Neither of us cares. Maybe it's sorta a Hugh Hefner mentality, but I kinda like all the girls in the house.

Edited to add: Damn just read the above. Screwing roomate's girlfriend is a big no no! Looky but no touchy!!

That may mean fuck all depending on your state law.  Evicting someone who is there legally, or illegally can be nigh on impossible.  I cannot describe how hard it is here.  My mother spent 6 hours with the prosecuting attorney yesterday trying to find a way to evict some people in her complex that have not paid rent in 7 months.

Regardless of whether they paid rent on time (thats your call if you want to give them some slack in this area).  They didn't sign up for her to be making meals, and hanging out and sleeping there waiting for you to come home.  You being there for the MWF house play is one thing, her showing up and taking over the kitchen and living there those evenings is another.  

Sounds like its time for you and your girlfriend to either stop playing house or tell the roomates they need to find other residences and live on your own.  

I suspect you can't afford the place without roomates, or there wouldn't be an issue.  But even if you find new roomates this problem will come up again.

so you have three choices:

-Live alone and GF can come by at will

-Live with roomates and make sure GF doesn't come over without you being there.

-reduce the rent so the GF is essentially another roomate.  then she can come and go as she pleases and there is no issue.
