According to a very well-placed source, Condoleeza Rice says "I'm a 2nd Amendment Nut!"  She then recounts a story about her childhood in Birmingham, Alabama when violence against Blacks was reaching an all-time high.  Her father and several other men pleaded for help from the local police, (who all wore sheets during their off-duty time) but were of course, denied protection.  So her father organized a "shotgun patrol" of their neighborhood and protected their own.  "It was then, " Condi recalls, "that I realized the importance of private firearms ownership."

Hmmmmmm. . . .She gets my vote.
