I noticed the symbols change position as well...
I got away the first time - the next time I just clicked on the ball and it picked the "correct" symbol... [Spock] Fascinating...[/Spock] |

There are only a few numbers that you will come up with as a solution if you do it right.
The way it works is by constantly changing the symbols so you don't catch on. For example, 18 and 27 are two numbers that you should come up with using this formula. there are a few more. Not sure how many, but notice that 18 and 27 ALWAYS have the same symbol when you "try again" |

If you follow the instructions you will always end up with one of the following numbers. 9 18 27 30 35 36 45 54 63 72 81 86 87
And you will see that this set of numbers will always be associated with the symbol that will come up. |

All multiples of 9 have the same symbol. The solution will always be a multiple of 9.
