Normally, elevation is on top and windage is on the right side.

Stop thinking about the LABELS and start thinking mechanically. The screw that runs top-to-bottom adjusts elevation (Up & Down), and the one that runs side-to-side adjusts windage (Left & Right). This is true of virtually any optic, regardless of markings.
Your scope is marked like it is so that you can have the turrets either on top and right (the "normal" way) or on top and left (90 degrees of rotation, and the way some folks prefer). Either way, the labels are irrelevant, and many optics don't even have them. -Troy |
