Real men cry, or maybe have that little single tear that falls, or maybe find it just a little difficult to speak...at the end of "Old Yeller".

So, tell the truth, did you cry when Old Yeller died?

I have been known to cry when I hear the anthem. (Usually thinking of the country that once was)

What the hell kind of Americans are you who haven't seen "Old Yeller"?  You should be placed in burlap bags and beaten with reeds.  I can understand DKProf not seeing it, as he is from what is often called "Europe", but what the hell is wrong with the rest of you?

I attended the last ever regular season Cardinal's game at Busch Stadium Sunday with my mother and my daughter.  They had the crowd (50,000+) sing the national anthem accapella.  I had tears streaming down my face.

I'm somewhat disturbed over your admissions of animal love.

LOL! I guess I'm the kind that should be placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds.

Never had the slightest desire to see "Old Yeller". No gasoline explosions or gratuitous nudity. And there would have to be a LOT of gratutious nudity to make me watch that.

I saw the movie as a kid, but have forgotten a lot. Didn't the dog go wild and attack someone? If I remember right, I thought to myself something like "Good riddance!"   Seriously.

The closest I ever came to crying because of a movie was the scene in Saving Private Ryan where he wanted to know that his life had been spared for a reason. And then all I had to do was blink.
