Which type of trigger do you prefer?

Note:  Single/double stage is not the same as single/double action.

FWIW, I prefer military two-stage triggers in my military rifles and single stage triggers in my Rem 700s bolt actions.

I like the two stage triggers myself.  Lots of guys prefer the single stage.  I bet your poll ends up 50/50

I like the double stage for all my rifles, with the exception of target rigs.

Could you guys expound on the technical differences for the unschooled?

Thanx.

Single stage:  constant pull weight, short travel before hammer drop

Dual stage:  Long/Light "takeup" pull to a heavier (but not as heavy as single stage) snap break.

Thanx for the education.

I assumed it was something along those lines, but wanted to ask to be sure.

For my ARs I like the two stage RRA triggers. Hard to beat for the money.

What ever came in the gun is good enough for me, Jethro!

I like a single stage.  I don't like the long take up of a double or how it goes from a light to a heavy pull.

I like doubles, I bring the trigger back to the 'stop part' then take my breath there, then finish squeezing.
