I am in Japan now and have been offered a chance to buy a PRC-126.
It has a fair share of scratches, but otherwise in fairly good condition and works perfectly as far as I can check.
The only defect that I noticed was the lack of the PTT button, but since it comes with a hand set, it is not a problem.
I think that it is still watertight, too.

How much would it be worth?
And would it be legal to own/take back to the US?

Thanks in advance for your help.

yeah, it should be legal as long as it's tuned to a legal HAM band.  I'd kill to have one of those.  Seriously I'm green.

The PTT button is the large square on the back, top side of the radio.

YOu can scroll through the programmed frequencies using the buttons on the front. You cal also program new frequencies from them.
