Of course it snowed in the mountains almost a month ago, but it just started snowing at 4,300ft here in town.   It rained all morning and the big white flakes just started falling a couple of minutes ago.

Good news is it is supposed to be 70 on Friday.

I hate snow.

Wow, haha

It's in the low 80s here in MI. But by Friday it's supposed to be way cooler, highs in the 60s.

Oh, there's not THAT much snow in Wyoming. Cause the wind keeps stirring it around until it wears it out.

I don't mind the cold, I just hate the snow.  We don't get that much usually.  Besides, I like the lack of people, the large open spaces, and the hunting!

i don't know snow.

i have been to ID and CO hunting and snow sking but never lived in the stuff.
once in Denver we went into a resturant for lunch and when we came out the snow had started to melt and turn into a muddy slushy mess.
i bet a winter of it would be tough but it's hard to emagine in Houston when it's 95 and 100% humidity.

Rained here all day yesterday and most of the evening. This morning I noticed we had a light snow down to about 8500'. Further north, nearer the Wyo. border it snowed down into town - around 6500'.

I thought there would have been more there by now..  When I lived in Rollinsville about 8 years ago, we got 18" of snow the begining of Sept.

I always love the first snow.  Pretty and all that.

By mid january though I've had enough.

It was 86 degrees here in South Central Montana on Saturday. I spent the first half of the day riding my crotch rocket and the last half scraping and repainting my garage door. And this morning there was a foot of snow to scrape off my truck and van. We're only at 3,000 feet here. Tis a wacky place! But I LOVE it and wouldn't trade it for more temperate places.

P.S. I remember the winter of '90 vividly. It was the middle of December and 65 degrees. It was weird because there were no birds chirping or leaves on the trees, but it was very nice (by our standards). Less than 48 hours later it was 30 below with a windchill of almost 70 below. I got out my ice climing gear and climbed some "drips" that had turned into full-blown frozen water falls in town. Good times...

Not familiar with Rollinsville, but I live on the west slope. We don't usually get as much as the front range where real bad stuff blows right down along the mtns from the north.
