Marine Held as Police Seize Plastic Explosives

A Marine at Camp Pendleton was arrested after police allegedly found him in a
motel with a 1-pound block of C-4 plastic explosives apparently smuggled off the
military base.

David T. Holden, 18, was taken into custody early Saturday after police said he
and three other Marines were found with the C-4 and a small amount of drugs in a
room at the Beachwood Motel.

Marines use C-4 during training exercises but are prohibited from taking it off
the base. It is sought by terrorist groups on the black market.

There are plenty of terrorist

I remember listening to the stories
during NIS counter terrorist/

and how most of those caught were
not aware of the true nature of
their dealing.

Trashing a hotel is considered to be a fine art.
I never asked about the pool or anything else....It was always, "how much is this place insured for?"

Seriously, I hate it when a young Marine(or any other service) gets in trouble for something stupid. I was fortunate to have had strong NCOs that taught me what NOT to do....or at least how not to get caught.

But, if they were doing drugs.....FRAG 'em.

Seriously, if he did it, they oughta hang him by his balls until the crows have picked his bones clean. Stupid bastard should have thought about how his actions could embarrass the Marine Corps, and who was going to end up with that C4. Does the USS Cole ring a bell? [pissed]

The drugs are a definite no-go, but what's wrong with bringing home a little C-4 to do some fishing? Sure as heck is better than "beating the water" all day with a fishing rod and some smelly worms.

The coolest thing about the guys on this board is the thought process. This story's message is: Marines on drugs=BAD, "borrowed" C4="interesting".

we just wish we had some c4 to go fishing with to
