I think the DU'ers are pissed that Harry Reid thinks she's a wonderful choice.
They wanted a battle over the nomination as much as the Right did, and I don't think it's gonna happen. |

From what I've heard on the news this AM, many Republicans are none too pleased with his choice...The woman has no judiciary experience. They're (Republicans) calling this favoritism since she has represented GWB on personal and professional legal matters. Her conservative christian stance on abortion is the only thing right now that the Republicans seem to be happy with.

How much "know how to do it" is really needed to interpret a piece of parchment? Aren't we the ones always calling for strict originalist interpretation? The 2nd Amendment is the 2nd Amendment. I hope you are right, but I think it is a faulty strategy. IMO I think he should go with the #1 choice right out of the chute and make each nomination the best one possible. Putting up a throw-away risks actually getting the throw-away confirmed. |
