YEAH it's good stuff... They do it just so german kids have music to shock their parents. They have a new single out (kinda political) Called "Benzin". I can't wait till the new CD "Rosenrot" is released.
ETA: the local radio station hasn't played a new Rammstein single since Du Hast came out... |

I missed my chance when they came through years ago... they haven't been to the US in a while. Hopefully they'll come through again. I have one of their DVD's and their shows look crazy. |

Its pretty good, though you wont actually find many Germans that will admit they listen to it...
First Album Herzeleid (heart ache) was the best for me, and the last one, Reise, Reise was pretty good though it did sound a bit softer.. |

Are you rolling your eyes because you don't think the Krauts poo on each other? Cause I've got boatloads of German scat porn to prove ya wrong bucko....and I've been to the Fatherland. Trust me, they're into freaky-deaky sex. They do like chanting in their metal too, this goes all the way back to "Accept" in the 80's. It's not their music that's dorky, it's their singing. You can't make German sound cool no matter what you try. It's a clunky, hilarious language and it's even sillier when you're supposed to take it seriously. Sorry I shit on your favorite band. Sue me, I'm half German. Pooping on things comes naturally. |

"Heirate Mich" is probably what you're referring to. Their lyrics are certainly provocative. I'm a naturalized former German, so yeah - I speak German. My 8 and 5 year old love Rammstein, but thankfully they don't speak German or they wouldn't be allowed to listen to it. I have their "Live aus Berlin" concert DVD. In the interviews, one of the guys basically said "Hard Riffs, hard lyrics. Easy riffs, easy lyrics". In context, he basically said that when their music is heavy, the lyrics match. Personally, I like "Reise, Reise" best, even though I didn't care for it at first. "Stein Um Stein" is my favorite. The first time I heard it, the lyrics bitch-slapped me. Again referring to the interview, they were talking about the lyrics and simply said that the stuff they write about happens in the real world. It doesn't mean they condone it. |

them because I cannot understand the lyrics. I have read the translated lyrics sheets and they are nothing special, in fact, most of the lyrics are quite pedestrian. |
