Why would she be embarrassed about calling? She's going to be laying there with her dirty bits in plain view for who knows how long while they do it. I heard it was a lengthy procedure, but I don't know anyone that's done it. At least, it hasn't come up in convo. I'm curious to hear what grand ol' arf has to say about this...You might should have posted this in the WF.

I think it depends on age. If she is young, then sure, why not? If she is old*, then the money would be better spent on buying her new kitchen appliances or cleaning supplies.

My wife dumped some money into that a few years ago.
It worked great ,but within a year new cells form and she had hair back again anyway. It was a waste of money. For some people it has worked,but for everyone we know it was a temporary fix anyway. |

Whatever you do, don't let her buy that really neat product from the Land Down Under... Nads.
 Listening to my daughters' screams as they tried to do their legs was painfully funny.  And that was just legs. I don't even want to think about anything higher.But if she wants to try it, I think we still have a nearly full kit of it under the sink in their bathroom. |

oic. I always thought that older meant more experience and more experience meant looser. I guess more experience could be a plus but I wouldnt mind a vice like death grip either.

I had it done back in 1992. It was realitively new and it worked great. However after I had my son in 1999 the surge of hormones made a new crop of hair grow where it wasn't suppose to and I need to have it done again. I will have it done again though as I hate waxing.

From what my one of my derm/plastics friends tell me, it doesn't take much time for the actual procedure, but it takes several sessions over months to actually eradicate the hair follicles - they all don't grow at the same time, and the process only gets rid of the ones that are actively growing. Commonly, the person may experience some warmth & a stinging sensation that usually stops after the laser is stopped - thre may be some redness in the area, but it typically goes away quickly. It tends to work better for dark haired people (something about the darker hair absorbing more energy).
