Nah, it didnt suck. It just wasnt all that good. Well, it was kinda bad. Think of a cross between Starship Troopers, Johnny 5 and Iron Eagle. Ok, so it kinda did suck.

No go watch Sahara. Hokey, but very James bond, Indiana Jones, National Treasure hokey. Entertaining, just very far fetched, and some good one liners. Not to mention Penelope Cruz is easy on the eyes.
