Besides old black and white photos and movies I don't see people using them.  Have you?

Never seen anyone wearing one, myself.

I've always wondered if they were comfortable.

I'd rather have Pince-Nez glasses.

While we're at it, lets complete the look with ascots, riding breeches and pencil thin mustaches.

Well, both my eyes are bad so I'd be kinda silly.
I've never seen them on anybody. Never really seen somebody with only one bad eye either.

Always wondered how the hell you keep them in. Get suprised and out it comes.

Do people use monocles any more?

No, just over-grown mutated peanuts.

Not happening  even if I did he'll look at me like an idiot that does not know what he's talking about.  Kids are fun between 2 and 5 for that kind of stuff.

Yes, people do still use monocles apparently.  An uncle of mine has one that he uses all the time. He doesn't need glasses for seeing far and likes that he can just put it on a fob connected to one of his shirt pockets and pick it up when he needs to look at something close up. I believe he has a pair of reading glasses too though for extensive up close use. He just said he thought the monocle was more convenient and easier to keep up with then having a pair of glasses with him all the time.  I should have thought to ask him where he got it from.
