I need a fairly quick response so I thought I'd give it a shot here. I am taking this to the San Antonio gunshow on sunday and was wondering what would be a fair trade value. Thanks in advance for your help.

Stainless Smith & Wesson 629-1 .44 Magnum, 95+% condition. 6 inch barrel w/ Pachmayr grips.

i dunno, but expect a lot of people to hold it and not give you any decent offers for it. or try to trade it for shit you don't want

You'd do better on the EE.

That said, you're not going to get anywhere close to what you should at a gunshow.

+1

Doing a trade with a dealer is just asking them to rape you.

I'll send you a retired "Little Willie" weasel beanie baby, 5 pounds of beef jerky , and a dream catcher for it.  You pay shipping both ways.

Hey ConbatVet....You going to be at Saxet Tomorrow? I wouldnt mind meeting you. Maybe I can con you into that Bullet Hole Job :)

What time? (I will be there in the 10-1 time frame)

Anyway, my recomendation would be to make it visable as you can that it is for sale. Your chances of a better deal always increase with better exposure. Carry around a Picket sign if you have to with big letters on it. If you need the cash, then dont be afraid to make some noise. The Dealers who are interested will ask, they are there to horse trade, but you can do much better with the other show patrons, and it is to them you need to advertise too.

Expect $250 from a dealer. $300 would be outstanding.

I have to go do the Sunday family thing (read: Church), I have to repent my sins and my foul mouth (pit). I will be heading out at 1300hrs for the funshow. I plan on trading it anyway so if I don't see anything I like I will put it back up in the EE.

As for the Bullethole job, damn it is a very tempting offer, but I'd have to finish physical therapy first.

Well, how did you do? Did you make it to the Show? I saw a guy walking around with a large bright pink picket sign on a tall pole, and I though "Oh Sh@# he did it....Good for him"  I headed that way, but it turns out he was looking for certain types of guns as per his sign. (I bet he found them though)

Hey everyone, we got $425.00 for it and proceeded to buy a Bushmaster Dissy with the proceeds. We paid a fair price for an A2 Dissy in 98% condition and are happy with it.

I met the guys from SPREADFIRE ARMS and was impressed by their customer service, demeanor, and overall business ethics. A big +1 to them.

Thanks all!
