Blitz

See if you got whitish exudate in your tonsils, or whitish lesion in throat elsewhere
Make list of all symptoms (including non-head) & phone Dr, to differentiate viral/bacterial (102 temp may be a clue)
Lots of water, wash container frequently
Wash hands every time after cough/sneeze/putting hand(s) to face
Make salt water solution from pan-warmed water, gargle deeply (as warm as you can stand it).  
Diluted peroxide gargle
Repeat after taking anything through mouth
Hot bath/shower deeply inhaling the vapor
Ginger beef delivery (my personal favorite food for the mind when under the weather)
VHS/DVD's brought from rental store by friends/partners if you can't get out.
