Besides Blackwater and Dyncorp, what other companies provide armed Security for overseas, mainly Iraq and Afghanistan?  I am looking at a reputable company to apply to and have gotten my wife okay with the idea of me going overseas for 6 months to a year.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

look up "international policing" in a search, I foundone company that was getting a bunch of previous or present LEO's together who are going to afghanistan to help eradicate the opium crops. 170.000.00 was the starting pay, by the way whats wrong with those two??

Nothing, I have been out of the Military too long for Blackwater and Dyncorp never replied when I sent my resume.

Do a search for Triple Canopy out of the U.K..  From talking with colleagues that have "been there, done that", they say Triple Canopy is superior to Blackwater.  YMMV  I hope this is of some help.

There is a website with something like 44 companies on it.  There are more if you include Afghanistan and Colombia.

Cochise is working security for USA Environmental in Iraq. I did the "Run and Gun" with them once. Hell of an adrenaline rush. Nothing better for pucker factor than driving down Iraqi highways in a F350 with no armor.

Triple Canopy was doing security for State Department Personnel in country.
