The duct tape looks like a good idea vs. pullers that cost almost as much as the mag!

When I was in Africa I saw a lot of French SF (legionairre's maybe) cross training with our SF guys. They would tear up the kill house like they owned the place. Lot of high speed gear too, m4's with acogs, mp5sd's etc...

French (and German) special ops are nothing to laugh at. Even though he appears to have a tactical codpiece, I would not make fun of it to his face.

Swiss. Or maybe Chilean, Chile uses the SIG 550 rifle.
EDIT: photo says GIGN, sort of their equivilent of the FBI HRT. Didn't know they used SIGs. |

The GIGN are an inbetween organization... legally, they are part law enforcement and part military. This lets them fly into the Ivory Coast and haul ass or take part in domestic operations. Interesting setup! The U.S. does not have a similarly defined unit. As for firearms (since I sorta researched the GIGN for fun a while back), they are all over the place! SIGs, HK, M4s, and all sorts of gadgets and optics. When pics are available, they are walking displays of gun porn. This is the first time I've seen them with that series of SIG rifles though... - BG |
