Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - IVIG being sent to Iraq and Afganistan?

Heard a wierd rumor from one of my pharmacists today...

We've been trying to get IVIG for a patient with CIDP, but apparently no one has any. I mean, no private or public sources throughout California. FDA hasn't said anything yet, but some informal sources have said the IVIG is being sent overseas...

OK tin-foil MDs, why? Is there a sudden run of Myasthenia Gravis or Guillaine Barre over there or is this just all BS?
